I have become obsessed with podcasts lately, and I have quite a list of podcasts for moms, like you, should be listening to. They are just so fun and give you so much good information. I especially love to listen to them while I am running because then I am getting two things done at once. I also listen to podcasts while doing laundry or housework. It just makes everything go faster, plus I am learning.
These podcasts I listen to are geared towards moms. Because these are the ones I feel the help me the most. So I feel that they will help you most. You will find at least one on this list that you will want to start listening to.
1. Do It Scared Podcast
This podcast is with Ruth Soukup who is an extremely successful blogger, but she also is a mommy. She has two little girls that she talks about quite a bit, and how she parents them. She just started this podcast so it does not have hundreds of episodes yet. Ruth has amazing guests on her show, and she makes each episode advice for women as opposed to just bloggers. Here is a great episode about letting go of mom guilt.
She talks about time management, and beating the odds, and my favorite, finding your tribe to make you your better self. Every mom needs their tribe, and Ruth talks about this a lot. Like I said, she talks about her girls and how her and her husband are choosing to raise them. There is a whole episode about free range parenting, which totally brought up some interesting stuff that moms like us might consider. There are so many great morsels in every single one of these episodes. And this is one of the podcasts for moms that you need to hear.
2. Rise Podcast
Of course I need to mention Rachel Hollis’ podcast. I think most mamas have read “Girl Wash Your Face” by now, if you have not go read that now, I will be doing a post on it later. But, back to the podcasts. Rachel is a mama from a small town that now lives in a big city and she ran a huge event planning company, while being a mom to three boys and now a little girl they adopted.
I did like the Rise Together Podcast also, but now Rachel and her husband Dave are divorced. Which means the Rise Together Podcast is just Dave. Not that it isn’t good and has helpful tidbits. But it really is not from the perspective of a mother anymore.
If you listen to Rachel on her Rise Podcast about being a mompreneur, you will get great advice and what actions you can take in your relationships today, both with your kids and your husband, or perhaps an ex-husband. Also, Rachel talks about anxiety in her podcast, which you know is one of my big struggles, so helpful.
3. For The Love Podcast
You guys already know that I love Jen Hatmaker, and I got to meet her. Did you know she has a fairly new podcast? She is amazing, and I love to listen to her, whether in person or on her podcast. This podcast is all about parenting. Jen has all kinds of guests (including her parents) that talk about raising their kids, and giving amazing advice.
Like I said, I listen to podcasts while I run. And Jen’s podcast is one of my favorites to listen to while running. Because she is very animated and keeps me going on my long runs! Here are the ear buds I use while I run because they stay in my ears.
Jen has three biological kids and two adopted kids so she knows her stuff. She talks about all kinds of advice that can help you. My favorite is when she talks about the holidays and how moms can get through them. She also talks a lot about different personalities, and how they relate to each of their relationships. Jen talks about the ennegram, which is awesome for telling about your personality and how you relate to other people. This needs to be on your list of podcasts for moms you should listen to.
4. Goal Digger Podcast
This is the podcast with Jenna Kutcher who runs a multi-million dollar company. She does talk a lot about her company, and how she became successful. And it is so much great advice and teaching if that is your thing. But, she has a little girl and has had a number of miscarriages. And these are things she is not afraid to talk about. That is why this is a good mom podcast to listen to, if you have infertility problems or if you are just a regular mama who wants to learn with her.
Jenna lives in a fairly small town in the mid-west with her husband and little girl. And so she leads what is basically a regular mom life. Along with running a huge company. She just really shows that all the things can be done even when you are a mother. Plus, she always puts her daughter before anything in her company.
There is lots of mommy advice and solidarity for moms everywhere. It is just many podcasts that make you feel like even moms with big companies go through colic, no sleep, and mommy guilt.
5. Catch This Mama Podcast
You might have not heard of this podcast, but this is one of the podcasts moms should definitely listen to. This is a friend of mine, we used to work together until she started a blog and a podcast. Danie has three little girls with a little boy on the way. And she knows her stuff. She has great mama advice, and she also has great advice for how to take care of a home. Her house is beautiful, and she just has some great ideas of how to make it nice. Along with keeping it nice and organized while having children.
I love all of these podcasts for moms and you should listen to some of them. These are the one that I happen to love and wanted to share with you. If you do not like these, please find your own podcasts to listen to. They really help and have so much great mom advice.
