Eczema Lotion Recipe
This is a recipe for the skin with eczema. And can be used on everyone from little babies to older people. This lotion is a little different from the recipes I tell you about because it actually uses solid coconut oil instead of the liquid coconut oil. Here are some solid coconut oil that I recommend.
Then you put 20 drops of each of the essential oils I am going to tell you about into the solid coconut oil and mix them all together. Then put the lotion into a glass mason jar or other glass container. You put it in glass because if you put it in plastic the essential oils can eat away at the plastic. Here are some glass containers I recommend.
Cedarwood Essential Oil
Cedarwood oil is great for calming. So it is very helpful for eczema because it helps calm it down when it flares up.
Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender oil is one of the best essential oils for eczema because it is so soothing for the skin. So it is helpful for the itchiness that comes with the eczema.
Geranium Essential Oil
Geranium oil is great for moisturizing the skin. And dry skin is a symptom of eczema, so it is really helpful having geranium in this lotion.
Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense is fantastic for skin and also for healing. So of course frankincense is one of the best essential oils for eczema and needs to be in our eczema lotion recipe.
Tea Tree Essential Oil
Tea Tree is a an astringent and an anti-inflammatory, which would both be helpful for eczema. So that is why it definitely needs to be included in your lotion recipe.
I will put the whole recipe down at the bottom of this blog post. So you can make it yourself. Then you can use your lotion every day as needed.

A Good Quality Probiotic
So the essential oils will help topically. But eczema also has a lot to do with the gut. If your gut is messed up then eczema might follow. So usually your gut is messed up because your bacteria is unbalanced. And when this happens you need to take a good quality probiotic.
When you take a probiotic, this puts good bacteria back into your gut so you can get you more in balance. If you want to read about how to pick a good quality probiotic, go to my blog post all about it. This will help your eczema from the inside.

Lemon Essential Oil
Eczema can also be caused because you have toxins in your body. To help detoxify your body, put 4-8 drops of lemon essential oil into some water. And sip it throughout the day. This will help get those toxins out.
