So there are so many essential oils that do so many things. And I want to tell you about all of them. But we are going to talk about all the essential oils for focus and concentration. I am going to tell you about the best ones and the epic ones. So the next time you working on something and having problems focusing, you reach for the right essential oil. And then you go back to work.
It seems that any age of kiddo or mom have problems with distractions. Even what you would call a normal kiddo. And then if your kid is differently-abeled like one of my kiddos. My son has adhd (go here if you want to see what oils to use if you or your kiddo has adhd!!). Then the distractions and the problems focusing are at a whole new level. So keep reading to find out what essential oils are best for focus and concentration. For both kiddos and moms.
Obviously, the First One is Focus Blend
I will get to the single essential oils that are great for focus and concentration. But, of course, I need to start with the focus blend. This is a blend especially made by the company I get my essential oils from. It has fabulous essential oils in it. Like patchouli, frankincense, sandalwood, and ylang ylang. The blend comes in a roller ball bottle already so it is ready to go for you and your kiddos.
For my son, we roll the focus blend on the bottoms of his feet in the morning. And then we put his socks on. So he doesn’t have to worry about people smelling his oil (and to be honest, it isn’t my most favorite smelling oil either). But the oil is still working for him.
If you are a mom or if your kiddo needs more than the daily focus blend in the morning. Just take it with you and apply to the back of your neck when you (or your kiddo) really need that focus and need to concentrate. It works in about 30 seconds. So no wasting time with distractions!
You Definitely Need the Rosemary
If you are looking for a single essential oil for focus and concentration, then you might want to try rosemary. It is an oil that is used to flavor foods like chicken or turkey. But it is also really great for keeping that focus. Rosemary essential oils is great to put in the diffuser during homework time. I just stick this and wild orange essential oil (which is a citrus oil to keep the mood up!). Into the diffuser together and let it run right by my boys’ homework area. It is great for maintaining that concentration so that homework does not take the whole night.
Also, I like to diffuse the rosemary and wild orange in the morning. To keep everyone on task. Getting ready for school and work. My boys get very distracted in the morning. So I give them an extra boost of focus and concentration from their essential oils.
This is the diffuser we use because my boys like the deer on it! And it works really well! If your kiddos would like it also, go here!
Frankincense is a Must
I have talked about how frankincense is for all the things. So of course it is used to help with focus and concentration. Frankincense can be used by itself to help with these things. Either you can put a couple drops in the diffuser while you are studying or needing to focus. Or you can put on the back of your neck or bottom of the feet. Just a couple drops. And you can dilute if you have sensitive skin.
If you use quality oils like from the company that I use. You could also put a couple drops of frankincense under your tongue. This helps for you to be able to concentrate really quick.
It is really great at driving in the other oils. So if you use rosemary, like mentioned above, for focus. Or you use one of the other oils I mention below. Always put that oil with frankincense. Because it will make that oil work better. Just a little tip about frankincense!
Peppermint is one of the Great Essential Oils for Focus and Concentration
Just like frankincense, peppermint used for lots of things. But here we are talking about how to helps with focus and concentration. Peppermint is a great pick-me-up for when you need some energy. And with that, comes being able to concentrate and focus more.
What is really great to use is peppermint and wild orange together. You just put about ten drops of each essential oil into a roller ball bottle. And then you can dilute with coconut oil. Then you have a roller ball bottle ready for when you need some concentration. So you can just roll your roller ball bottle of oil on the back of your neck. Or roll on the bottom of your feet.
Vetiver is Calming So You Can Focus
Vetiver is an essential oil that you might not think of for concentration and focus. But the thing with vetiver is that, along with being calming and helping you to relax. It is also great for focus because it helps calm down the nervous system. This will help you who has work to get done have focus. Or help your kiddo who has homework to do be able to concentrate.
Now, vetiver does not smell the best. So I would put in the diffuser, but make sure to combine with a citrus oil such as wild orange or lime. Also you can put on the bottom of your feet, and then put on your socks. Then you will not have the smell overwhelming you, but you still get the benefits.
These are just a few options of essential oils that you can use to help you focus and concentration. I just love how there are essential oils for everything. Not just to use when you are sick. But essential oils that can help you go about your day in a better way. So you can get things done. And get some help with concentration and focus.
