Okay, you might be thinking “there are different oils for fall??” Well, I guess I would not say there are essential oils just for fall specifically. But there are definitely oils that make you think of fall. And there are oils that just give you that warm and cozy feeling. There are for sure oils that smell like pumpkin spice! And not consuming any calories for the smell!
So keep reading to find out what essential oils you can you as it gets colder. And as we get to the fall holidays. These oils are the cozy ones, are very uplifting, and smell like pumpkin spice. But they will also keep you healthy as the weather gets colder.
First Up is Clove Essential Oil
I think when anyone smells clove, they immediately think of fall and the holidays. So you can definitely diffuse it so your house smells like fall. But, did you know that clove oil has super powerful antioxidant properties? So, along with the house just smelling darn good. That clove is also protecting your cells from damage.
Also, clove is amazing for cleaning your teeth and gums. Definitely use a carrier oil (such as coconut oil) to dilute the clove oil. Because it is known as a “hot oil,” which just means it needs to be diluted before you put it on your skin or on your teeth and gums. This is the coconut oil that I use to dilute the clove.
I actually had a really bad tooth ache a couple years ago (needed a root canal). But until I could get into the dentist, I put clove essential oil on the tooth and gum. It seriously saved me. What was really funny, is my husband asked me why I smelled like fall!
Clove can also be used for a teething baby. When my boys were babies I did not know about essential oils so the poor guys just suffered through teething. But now I am letting you know so you can let all the moms know. Clove, very diluted, on the baby’s gums, helps with teething. And the discomfort the baby is in when those toofers are trying to come in.
Cinnamon Essential Oil
The smell of cinnamon just always makes you think warm and cozy. And of cooler weather. And is usually the spice, in pumpkin spice. It smells so darn good, but is also helps you get healthy and stay healthy.
Cinnamon is great for immune support, to keep your immunity strong. It also can help if you have an irritated throat. Just put one drop in hot water or tea and drink (as long as you are using pure, quality oils that can be ingested). And something you probably did not know, it helps keep your blood sugar at a healthy level. Cinnamon is also one of the “hot oils” so make sure you use a carrier oil or water. It smells great in the diffuser (this is one of the diffusers that I love!), but also keeps everyone in your house healthy.
Do Not Forget the Protective Blend
I think when moms think of protective blend essential oil, they just think of the immune support it provides. Which it most definitely does. My kids get this on the bottoms of their feet every day. Plus they get in their diffusers every night. Whether it is summer or winter, or any season in between. I also will put a couple drops in water and drink it if I feel something coming on. (Here are some other oils we use to combat the crud!)
But did you know it is one of the great essential oils for fall? It actually smells so yummy. And it is perfect for all the holiday get togethers. We have our neighborhood street over for Halloween every year. And you best believe we have the protective blend going in the diffuser.
Not only does it smell good, and smell all warm and cozy, but it keeps those germs away. I also use a cleaning solution that has the protective blend in it. So my house is getting clean, my kids (well the whole family) are getting immune support, and it just smells so darn good. No chemical smells when I clean going on around here.
Wild Orange Work Great as One of The Essential Oils For Fall
Okay, you might be thinking, wild orange is more for other seasons. But hear me out. When mixed with any of the essential oils I have already talked about, it just gives it a sweeter smell. Which makes the other oil smells just more enjoyable.
Plus, since it is an essential oil, it helps with overall health. Wild orange is great at cleansing any surfaces, and also for cleansing the air. So when it is going in the diffuser, it is cleansing the air around it. Which definitely can not be said for any candle or air freshener.
Also, wild orange is super uplifting. So it goes great with the cinnamon, clove, or protective blend. Especially when you are having people over. This can keep everyone uplifted and not stressed at those holiday gatherings. Do not just save it for company though. You can use it to uplift the moods of the people in your family also.
Who Wants It to Smell Like A Pumpkin Spice Latte In Their House?
So these four essential oils I have told you about are perfect for fall. And all of them can be used by themselves. To keep your family healthy and to also just make your house smell great. But did you know they can be used together, and together they smell just like a pumpkin spice latte??
So if you have a diffuser, put two drops each of clove, cinnamon, protective blend, and wild orange into that diffuser. And start it up. Your house will smell just like a pumpkin spice latter. And everyone that comes over will be getting those health benefits that I talked about before, the immune support, the cleansing, the uplifting. And you will not have to consume any calories to get that lovely smell of fall in your house.
