All of us as women are going to go through menopause. The last time I went to the gynecologist, I asked if I had maybe gone though menopause and could be done…She said no 🙁 Did you know that the average age for women to go through menopause is age 50? So, depending on your age now, it might still be coming or you might be done. If you are in the second group, send my post onto a woman that you want to help.

So, while we all go through it there is help to make it easier. Keep reading to find out what essential oils there are for menopause. Also what supplements you can take. I am going to go over general suggestions of what to use. Ways to naturally increase progesterone (drop in progesterone is a common thing that happens through menopause). And then, also what to use for specific symptoms.
General Suggestions
These are the essential oils and supplements for menopause. That you need to try for all the overall help of menopause.
Women’s Monthly Blend
This blend is awesome and I use it daily. It can be so helpful when going through menopause because it will regulate your hormones. As you know, hormones get so wonky when going through menopause. So you need this blend to regulate those.
This blend has a lot of great essential oils in it. The big ones are Clary Sage, Lavender, Bergamot, Roman Chamomile, and Ylang Ylang which are just really good for helping with hormones and regulating them. And the way I use this blend is to have in a roller ball bottle and roll on the inside of the ankle. This is because your ankle is a reflex point to your uterus. So I would apply this twice a day to the inside of the ankle.

The oil company that I use has the women’s monthly blend already all mixed up and comes in roller ball bottle. So all those essential oils for menopause are all combined together already. If you are interested in getting that, go to my oil website.
Phytoestrogen Complex
This is a great supplement that will help with those hormones during menopause also. This supplement will help to balance those crazy hormones. Also, it will support managing estrogen metabolism. And through these things it will help with the transition through menopause.
This supplement you can take one to two capsules daily. Start out with one capsule a day and make sure it does not upset your stomach, and then you can add a second one.

Increase Natural Progestone
A couple oils to use for increasing that progesterone is thyme and oregano. Either you can put 1-2 drops of each oil directly onto the bottoms of your feet. Just drop it out from the oil bottle. You can do this daily. If you didn’t want to put the oil directly on the bottom of your feet. You can put about 25 drops of each oil into a 10ml roller ball bottle and feel the rest up with coconut oil.
Then you can also put geranium topically over your liver, kidneys, and adrenal glands. And in case you were wondering where your adrenal glands were, they are on top of the kidneys. And the adrenals help with the regulation of hormones and your metabolism. So put geranium over all these organs daily to increase your progesterone.

Specific Menopause Symptoms
Here are specific essential oils to use for certain symptoms.
Fatigue
When you go through menopause, you get a lot of fatigue. As your body goes through changes you just can feel really tired. But there are definitely some oils to help. My favorite to use is peppermint and white fir (used together!) either inhaled or you can put on your temples. But remember that peppermint is very strong so definitely dilute it with coconut oil. These are the ones I recommend.
Another option that I just learned about is to apply ginger over the adrenal glands (I talk about where the adrenal glands are up above!). This is how ginger will help with your tiredness. Because it will get your metabolism more regulated.
Hot Flashes
Hot flashes are an annoyance of menopause. But you can use essential oils to help. Again you can bring out the peppermint. What you can do is have a spray bottle with peppermint essential oil mixed with water. Then you can spray on your feet, back of neck and your chest for when you are having a hot flash, and it will cool you down right away. Make sure that you get a glass spray bottle and not plastic because the peppermint essential oil will eat away at the plastic. Here are some glass spray bottles I recommend.
And also if you wanted a little extra instead of just the peppermint, there is a great blend that you could also make. It is 5 drops each of peppermint, spearmint and cypress. 10 drops each of geranium and lemon. And 20 drops of clary sage. Put all the oils into a 10ml roller ball bottle and fill the rest with coconut oil.
Helping Sleep
Insomnia is something that comes with menopause. Some oils to try would be lavender, roman chamomile, sandalwood, or restful blend. You can either put the oil in a diffuser or put on your pillow at night. Go to my blog post about a more in-depth look at what oils to use for sleep. Here are some diffusers I recommend!
Memory Loss
Unfortunately, memory loss is something that can kind of happen during menopause. Not all out dementia, but just a little bit more forgetfulness. Oils that you can use for this would be frankincense, peppermint and rosemary. If you wanted to know more about how to use these oils for memory loss, go to my blog post all about it.
Help With Weight
During menopause weight gain can be a problem. One thing that will help is getting your hormones regulated and your natural progesterone increased. So read above for help with those. But specifically to help with weight, there are some oils to help with that also.
The first one is metabolic blend. It is specifically for weight loss. Put a couple drops in water and sip throughout the day. I don’t really like the taste of metabolic blend so you can also put 5 drops of metabolic blend into an empty capsule, and take that.
Other oils that can help with weight loss are grapefruit, dill, and cinnamon. Either you can take in a capsule or you can put on the bottoms of your feet.
Bloating
I just recently found out that bloating is a very common symptom of menopause. And of course there are oils that will help. Digestive blend is amazing; just put over the tummy area as needed. Another option is to use lemon, peppermint and rosemary blended together on the tummy.
This is a lot of information about menopause, but I think it is important that I let you know there are natural essential oils to help you through menopause.
