Being a mom means we have lots of activities going on, not just for us, but for the whole family. It is hard to keep it all straight. I must admit, I have forgotten the occasional dentist appointment or to pick up one of my boys from an activity. This just makes me feel guilty and anxious, and like I am a bad mother. I am always trying to be more organized.
So my whole life has been about finding the perfect planner! Whenever I see an advertisement for a planner, I always look at it. Whenever I hear somebody recommend a good planner, I always check it out. This year, instead of finding ONE perfect planner, I have THREE different planners that I am using for different parts of my life. Read on to learn how this is working for me.
My Planner for my MLM
The planner I use for my MLM (I sell essential oils) is from Essential Living Team, but I’m pretty sure it is a girl just like you or me who wanted a planner that worked for her. And then she decided to sell it for fairly inexpensive. I love this planner because I write out my monthly goals, and then at the end of the month I assess how I did. Then every week I write out my appointments, write out my daily to-dos, and my main activities for the week. On the side I put in the people I have helped and how my monthly goals are going. Plus a quick scrip of what to say when talking to people in case I forget.
I love this planner because it keeps me focused on what goals I have with my MLM. It has everything laid out so I understand what I am supposed to be putting in each section. And it has reference pages in the back in case I get nervous and forget something.
My Planner for my Blog
This is the planner I use for my blog, so I can plan all my posts for you guys! The planner is from Restored316, which is where I got my blog theme also. I love this one because it has all things Blog in the same spot. If I need to work on my blog today then this is the one that I get out (duh!). It has places to write my expenses, my income, my brainstorming ideas, and my editorial calendar to plan my posts. Plus, it has a spot so I can make sure I am advertising each blog post and putting it on different social media platforms. It also has a spot to track everything like affiliates and my growth (not much hear yet, but I will get there!)
This way if I have any question about what I need to get done with my blog. Or I need to work on planning my blog, this is the planner I go straight to. Everything in one place for one part of my life.
My Planner for Everything Else
This is my planner for all the other things! The things that aren’t blog related or MLM related. This is the Living Well Spending Less planner by Ruth Soukup and, as we all know, she is amazing! And her planner is amazing!! It has the monthly section and it also has the weekly section where I can block out the days I work at the pharmacy, put my “must dos” for the day, and put in what I am planning for dinner. It also has pages for budgeting and for monthly goals. The goals are important because if you aren’t working towards a goal then what are you working towards? On top of all this, it is pretty and colorful, which makes it that much better.
So those are the three planners I use. Maybe one will work for you. Maybe you have your own already. But here is the thing, whatever planner you use, you need to use it, otherwise it does not work. If it is just pretty and sits on your desk, that will not help you. So use your planner!
