So I know this can be a touchy subject to talk about, I am kind of weirded out even writing about it. BUT it is something we need to talk about and something that can become a problem as we get older. So we are going to power through and get this all out in a blog post.

We are going to talk about the best essential oils for libido, and specifically about helping women with their low libidos. Because there are all kinds of medications for men with low libido (little blue pill anyone??). But there is no medication, not a single one, for women with low libido.
But there are essential oils to help! So keep reading as we discuss what oils will be able to help you!
Clary Sage
The thing with using essential oils for low libido is that sometimes you have to find the root cause. And as we get older our hormones get way out of whack. With having babies, and then perimenopause, the actual menopause, and then the after part of menopause. Those hormones get very unbalanced and this can add to a low libido.
But you can use clary sage to get those hormones back in balance. Apply 2-3 drops of clary sage to bottoms of your feet twice a day. And it will take a few months, but you will get those hormones balanced. And if you want to see what other oils to use for menopause and balancing hormones, go to my blog post that is all about menopause.
If you do not want to apply those drops directly to your feet and want something easier to do, you can also put about 30 drops of clary sage in a 10ml roller ball bottle and fill the rest with coconut oil. Then you can apply to the bottoms of your feet twice daily. These are the roller ball bottles and coconut oil that I recommend.
Ylang Ylang
Now, of course, low libido is not all blamed on hormones, so the rest of the essential oils I am going to talk about are purely to help you out with arousal so keep reading. Ylang ylang is a funny sound essential oil, but it is also really great for helping with low libido because it increases your sexual energy.
Apply to bottoms of the feet and also inside of the wrists (so you can smell it easily). You can either do daily or you can do as needed (when you are ready to do the act! :-)).

Black Pepper
I am sure that black pepper is not the first essential oil you think of for an aphrodisiac. But it actually can be, because black pepper is great at improving circulation. So it will help blood get to your genital area. Which will help increase that libido.
I would not recommend using just black pepper because it does not smell very good. But you could put it with clary sage or ylang ylang or any of the other oils that I will talk about. I would put the oils in a roller ball bottle and dilute with coconut oil. Then you could roll on the bottoms of the feet.
Jasmine Touch or Rose Touch
These two essential oils smell so good and are great for libido. The touch part of the oil means that it is already in a roller ball bottle and diluted with coconut oil. This is something that my oil company sells so go to my website if you were interested in getting these oils.
You can also make your own roller ball bottles by adding coconut oil to the jasmine or rose oil. Then you can roll the oil on the bottoms of your feet and also on the inside of your wrists.

Due To Low Energy or Fatigue
So low libido could be due to you just plain being tired and not having the energy for intercourse. The first thing I would check if you find yourself just having really low energy is your thyroid. This is done by a simple blood test. If you do find out that your thyroid is low (or hypothyroidism) then go to my blog post about what oils to use to regulate your thyroid.
If you find out that your thyroid is in range but you are still too exhausted for sexual activity. The oil you need is cinnamon. Because cinnamon is a very stimulating oil that can help you feel more energized and stimulated. The sweet, spicy aroma can also help you set the mood in the bedroom. Cinnamon can kind of make your skin a little irritated. So I would put this one in the diffuser. Here are some diffusers that I recommend.
Other Oils To Try
There are other oils that you can try if the oils I have already talked about do not work for you. These oils are sandalwood, black spruce, patchouli, and neroli. So just some additional options to try.
