So there are a ton of people out there that have all kinds of courses and blog posts that tell you how to start a blog. This is not that kind of post. I am at the very beginning of my blogging journey. There are many dreams I have about how my blog will help people, and how it will make money. I am not there yet. But come with me as we journey together through my blogging adventure.
So I had been thinking about starting a blog for a long time, but had no idea how to do it. I had no idea how people made money with a blog. That kind of just blew my mind. I did find products that Suzi had made that were under the “Start a Mom Blog” title. She had great courses that showed me how to get everything set up, and how to come up with blog post ideas.
Suzi makes it look easy, and she is just so sweet with her little family. I went through her course and got all the basics of starting a blog. Though some of the stuff I really didn’t understand, like pinterest, so I will be going back and looking over the course again.
I was at a complete loss as to how to actually pick a theme, or what I wanted. All I knew is I wanted a theme that was girly and feminine because I have two boys, nothing is every girly for me. Somebody on Facebook suggested Restored 316 because they had really feminine themes. I went and looked and feel in love with the Darling Theme because it was so beautiful.
Of course I had no idea how to set up my theme so I had the lovely gals at Restored 316 do this for me. Lani was amazing, and even answered some questions for me while she was waiting at the airport to go to her son’s wedding. She got it set up just how I wanted my blog and it looks great.
As you guys know, I am a pharmacist, so right now, I have more money than time it seems. I bought the Elite Blog Academy last year. And it is seriously amazing. But I really haven’t had that much time to do it. I am only in Unit 2 so I have quite the way to go. It does seem to have everything step by step so I am just going to keep following it. But I will need to make it more of a priority.
It is hard to see all these stay at home moms cruising through EBA like it is nothing. While I am still working through Unit 2, but I can’t look at what everyone else is doing. I need to keep going, maybe a little quicker than I have been. I have been a Unit 2 for so long because I had to write 10 pillar posts, while other people just redid some of their posts, I had a brad new blog, so I had NO posts before I got to Unit 2. But I am there now, I am moving onto Unit 3. And I would love if you all kept following me on my journey through writing this blog!
